A Kauai Christmas: Mai Tais & AI

Make an authentic Mai Tai at home! (You’ll need two special ingredients: orgeat syrup (we ordered ours from Amazon) and orange Curaçao. (You can use other orange liqueurs, but there will be slight differences in the results. Not to stop you; the whole purpose is to have fun!)

We’re kicking off the “Mai Tai Thursdays” series … a few days early.

Join us for our inaugural YouTube, with a semi-authentic Mai Tai preparation! (We use the original recipe; just a bit less rum.) Here’s the Mai Tai recipe that we used in our YouTube.

Mai Tais and AI: The kick-off of a three-part series; this YouTube vid shows how to make a (semi-authentic) Mai Tai.

One of our fave resources is this book on Trader Vic’s cocktails and “pupus” (Hawai’ian term for appetizers):

We like this book, Trader Vic’s Tiki Party! – available from Amazon. (We checked out a copy from our local public library.)

Have a very lovely and very merry Christmas – from all of us at Themesis!
